I need an editor, specifically familiar with the design industry.

I just completed my first book and it's cross between an autobiography of my experience as a designer with plenty of stories as well as information relevant to the design industry. This book is geared for new and young designers covering all aspects of design, freelancing, finding work, etc. I have a BA in Journalism and plenty of writing experience in all areas including resumes, blogs, sales and marketing materials, websites, etc. and my writing style is very features oriented, and I write and source my material like a Journalist.

This will be an epub and hard copy book that I've written myself. I will also be designing and laying out both versions. The epub version is going out first, then the hard copy will follow.

I need a very seasoned native American writer with knowledge and/or familiar with the design industry – if you know nothing about design, please don't waste my time or yours. This book has a specific target audience and is not a typical book. The book needs a one-time read through to understand it and then a manual edit – you cannot use spell check because there are certain things that need to left as they are (I have comments marked at certain parts) to make sure it reads well and is understood by the audience. I can't proofread my own work. It's probably about 20K words minus the quotes and other sections that don't need proofing. The only other item I need checked is the Bibliography because I'm not sure if I set it up in the correct format.

I'm in the process of roughing in the layout and graphics for the book. My goal is to have this done before the holiday's so people give it as gifts.

Please let me know your turnaround timetable, experience, any design books you have worked on and most importantly, price.
