We are a small company based in the heart of England supplying special needs transport to the local authorities. We use the services of around 200 private hire drivers and passenger assistants to convey special needs children to schools and colleges. At the beginning of this year we used GAF to find a Delphi programmer who has developed a database and user interface for us. Unfortunately the programmer is unable to offer us the time commitment that we currently need. We are therefore looking for a Delphi programmer with an excellent understanding of the software to continue the development and maintenance of this project.
Our budget is limited as we have already invested more than we originally planned on this project though in defence it has turned out to be a bigger project than originally anticipated. We are a fair and open company that will pay a fair rate for a fair job. The successful applicant should be able to communicate in good clear English and be contactable daily and prepared to work immediately.
Before considering an application we will want to see evidence of previous projects and a full CV of qualifications.
This project is likely to be taken over in 2 - 3 weeks and at this stage we are initially gathering details from interested programmers. We are open to ideas of improvement and if good advise suggests moving to an alternative programming language (cost would have to justify it) or platform. The actual heart of our database is a .mdb access file.
