Comparing and contrasting information systems development methodologies

Assessment Details: 1. Research the literature pertaining to structured and object-oriented approaches to systems development. Create a set of criteria to enable you to compare and contrast these two types of approach. Finally, compare and contrast one approach which is described as structured with one which is described as object-oriented. It is expected that your set of criteria is presented in a Framework. It will probably help you to review existing frameworks for comparing methodologies/approaches, as they might provide you with supporting evidence for your own framework. Remember, that you are required to develop a NEW framework and not just copy from existing frameworks. It is also expected that one of your criteria will involve consideration of analysis and design techniques. Your findings should be presented as an academic poster. This should be as a single PowerPoint slide using an appropriate poster template. 2. Using an appropriate framework, compare and contrast one socio-technical approach with a systems development approach which is described as structured. Choose an approach and use it to analyse the system requirements and design an appropriate information system for the scenario below. You may select any of the approaches that you have studied on the module or create your own hybrid approach, using techniques from different approaches. You should provide a rationale for your selection. You will be required to construct the models prescribed by your selected approach. Conclude your report by evaluating the effectiveness of your chosen approach using an appropriate set of criteria.
