Daily transcription, basic online research

We are a media production service that creates news clips for media outlets. We are looking for someone to work on a daily basis who: -- Has EXCEPTIONAL English skills. If you cannot write in perfectly grammatical English with completely accurate spelling, please do not apply. -- Is available from at least 3 PM ET (New York time) until 8 PM ET. We would be open to additional hours, but these are currently the hours we need to fill most. (We can also use help on weekends.) -- Is available on a daily basis. This is not a one-time job; we are looking to bring on an additional staffer to work every day. -- Can also handle more advanced work. The initial work will focus on transcription, but we will train this person to also help with other work (locating basic biographical information on subjects appearing in these clips; locating images related to the same, etc.). And eventually helping with managing the news content itself (writing headlines, finding the most news-worthy aspects of a news clip, etc.). -- Has an interest in U.S. news. The starting pay is $5/hour. This is a position offering opportunity for advancement. As the person we hire ends up taking on more responsibility, the pay will rise.
