DealCircle is a matching platform for M&A transactions ( acquisition and sale of companies). BACKGROUND One project describes the sale of a company. Our job is to approach many potential buyers and then to connect them with the seller's advisor. We use HubSpot to track the progress of our projects. We work with two different Deal Pipeplines: 1. M&A advisor pipeline (parent deals): This pipeline includes the status (the phase) of the company sale (e.g. buyer approach has taken place, interested parties have been connected, LOI signed, etc.) 2. investor pipeline (child deals): Each parent deal has n child deals assigned to it. The assignment is made via the specific deal ID, which is recorded by the parent deal for each child deal. The child deals describe the progress of each investor assigned to a parent deal. E.g. Investor XY signed an LOI. TASK The phase of the pipeline of parent deals is to be changed automatically by the child deals. The phase of the assigned parent deal should be determined by the furthest progress of a child deal.
