integration with outlook and exchange vsto based

This is a remote position. Our integration with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange must be slick, fast, and easy. We’ve made great strides but we need another great mind on the team to accelerate our pace. As a senior developer on Outlook, you’ll help maintain the current generation of our integration (VSTO based) while building a new integration using Microsoft’s latest add-in technology. You have strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and you have mastered .NET applications. Additionally, you have hands on experience working with RESTful API’s. Responsibilities: In your first month, you’ll focus on learning both the architecture and functionality of the current generation of our integration with Outlook. You’ll also learn our tools, processes, and people. In your second month, you’ll help build out additional capabilities of our product’s integration with Outlook. You’ll also start learning the Microsoft Office Add-in architecture. In your third month, you’ll continue to work on building out our existing product, but you’ll also work with our UX team to help them understand the capabilities and limitations of the Add-in architecture, especially as it applies to our software. By the sixth month, you and the team will have completed the next release of our Outlook integration and then you’ll be off and running on developing against the Add-in architecture. Your duties and responsibilities will include: Design and develop new functionality for our existing .NET-based Outlook integration. Learn Microsoft’s new Office Add-in architecture Work with UX to extract the best possible user experience from the Add-in architecture Help develop our next-generation integration with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange Qualifications Requirements: 8+ years’ experience working as a front end developer with .Net/C# 5+ years’ experience working with Visual Studio tools for Outlook (VSTO) Experience developing Microsoft exchange and/or outlook solutions. Experience building WPF and Windows Forms Experience building interoperable services (REST/.NET/Java/Sockets) Knowledge of HTML5 Experience working in Agile/Scrum experience in a global environment Driven, humble, and autonomous Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of Agile Development practices (for example: SCRUM or TDD) Desired: Experience Microsoft Office Add-in architecture Exposure to Office 2010 Experience with writing maintainable code that has extensive unit + functional test coverage Experience working with TFS and GitHub Experience working in a Test Driven framework and a Continuous Integration pipeline Perks: We understand the most important benefit we can offer is the chance to work with a talented team while building something you have ownership in.
