Greetings my friend, I'ma C/C++ systems engineer from the past 3 decades of computer science and it's evolution in to what it is today. Used to do this kind of course work in the 90s, for Uni in the UK. I now teach C/C++. A good suggestion for your project is a multi-threaded TCP/IP client-server system, that uses thread synchronisation primitives, sockets and file system calls etc to retrieve some data from some source(a pipe, a file on the hard drive, the internet etc), and then "pass it on " to the server/client , via socket; and then receive a reply, in an ascyhronous manner, using the techniques mentioned in your job posting. Interested? I should be able to design the initial project, on paper, using UML or flow charts, within 1 day. and then code /develop it for you, targeting Unix/Linux or WIndows, within 3-5 days, working full time Cheers Dinesh

Hi, Thanks for posting your project details. I am a software developer and I have done a program that used sockets, mutex, asyc sockets etc. If you are dealing with server based applications you have to use almost all of them in order to build a good application. Those topics supplement each other that's why in most scenarios you will find yourself using all of them. Hello, My main experience in software development over these last 15+ years is using C/C++ and C# programming languages. I have worked for Real-Time computing industries under UNIX/Linux and created multi threading processes (including POSIX threads) that communicated over pipes and TCP/IP socket API.
