Web Based Academic Platform/ CMS & WFM

Background: I am in need of programmers to develop my website based on the functionalities shown in my HTML screens. (Screens will be given upon freelancers request) The site is a CMS with a significant amount of work flow management capabilities. I have a script that outlines some basic functions of the site through Joomla. There will be a need for some customizations to this script as well. My site is hosted through csd.net. Trellis is a web based academic portal for teachers and students that allows users to perform necessary tasks in today's modern academic world. the site is designed to tie into any electronic device that has Internet access and to be as user friendly as possible. I want very little to no gap in page to page navigation. I would prefer a bubble affect for expansion and contraction of certain areas of the page. NOTE: Detailed information to be provided upon review of Freelancer response and merit. Contract price is to be discussed upon review of Freelancer's portfolio, response to the below information and further contact via freelancer email.  There are only a few sections of the site including the base structure that require some complex programming. The site is meant to be very minimalist - making use of clean and efficient flow. Once the base and sections are developed, it is merely a matter of replication, so we don't expect there should be too much time involved. We are using a module from Joomla that contains a large portion of functions necessary for the site. The site is designed to tie into any electronic device that has Internet access and to be as user friendly as possible. I want very little to no gap in page to page navigation. STYLE/ARCHITECTURE The idea is that all information flows in and out of this dashboard and classroom, giving the viewer the feeling that they are never leaving the two main pages The site will be broken into two main areas - one being the home page and the other accessible from the dashboard - "the dashboard" and the "classroom". The dashboard will act as the users home page where they can navigate to calendars as well as email and schools websites. Notes can be searched from all classes from this dashboard as well as users e-books can be accessed. Once a class is selected the classroom is opened where connection to a teachers site via IM in a universal message bar is needed. This area is like a virtual ecosystem for each class. The user can sign into class from here, communicate with the teacher, download and upload documents and assignments, check grades, read chapters via electronic text, take note, etc... More information will be given upon request of programmer. The breakdown of the dashboard and the classroom will be much easier to understand with a visual overview, provided upon Freelancer quote/discussion. CMS / XML Updates Almost all the text information is set at standard lengths to fit in with the design, however, these will need to be accessible for updates and changes, so I suggest xml input or the use of a Flash based simple CMS. IMPORTANTLY, all sections of the site will need to be constantly expandable and up-datable. This would definitely benefit from a CMS, but again could be xml based. This will need to be discussed before project development. DESIGN Again, all design has been produced for this and is in HTML format. IMPORTANTLY, we are trying to avoid any loading bars anywhere on the site, so excellent use of file weight and efficient link loading etc will be integral to our choice. OUR FREELANCER CHOICE Will be made on provided examples of contractor's previous work, high reliability, team size/man hours and guarantee of job completion in requested time-frame.
