As far as I get it, you want/need to create a 3d catalog with your product. As a heavy user of 3d models from different manufacturers, I'm advising you to offer only iges and step files (this way any designer, no matter of the software uses, will be able to design the models for the catalog, and also you will reduce the expenses with the files format for different softwares and versions. after all, iges and step are interexchange formats and do not keeps count of the software version) As an addition, besides the dimension pdf and 3d models, you may also have 3d pdf...
