Hii client, I have read your description carefully, i understood your requirement of discriminate pulses from analog waveform and count them and send pulse count from RS 485. I can do this with my experience very efficiently. I am Embedded engineer, I have done lots of projects on arduino, raspberry pi, Arm7 and ESP32. 1) Central chiller in building 2) Battleship game on arduino 3) Closed loop Weight control Using Load cell. 4) Distance Follower using distance sensor in closed loop. 5) Timer based oven controller using arduino. and many more....
