We have a custom CMS site based on Wordpress. There are database tables for a calendar and other lists. The site is SSL protected, user login required. Through the app, a user will (1) login (Touch ID preferred as available option but not required), (2) be able to view their own personal schedule (recognized by their login) in an intuitive and visually pleasing way, (3) view other related scheduling lists, (4) receive push notifications for certain events, when they occur in the database, (5) be able to respond to certain push notifications. We can setup XML or other types of feeds (perhaps JSON) necessary to provide the required information so the tables can be properly populated in the app, however we will need guidance on that so we setup those feeds correctly. All feeds for the app need to be secure (no publicly available URL based feeds). Would ideally be able to create an iOS and Android app, but based on cost and time, would consider just iOS app as first step for this project.
There are two additional points here:
1) Developer will need to be able to have understanding of mySQL and PHP so that, given our database structure, they can create the necessary feeds (XML, etc) to populate the desired tables. These feeds are user specific (based on logged in user). Some content in the tables will be customized for the logged in user.
2) A settings page will be necessary to direct the user to the correct subdomain and setup. For example, client1.example.com versus client2.example.com. Some subdomains will have one module, with corresponding tables (for a calendar/schedule), and other subdomains will have two modules (one for the calendar, and one additional module to view some other lists). Users with access to only one module will just see that module in their app. Users with access to both modules will see both modules available in their app. So, there will basically be a "Schedule" module and an "Other List" module, some clients will see one, some clients will see both, and that should be able to be determined by the subdomain (client1 vs client2).
