This is an urgent project that needs to be fixed today.
We have for the three last years been working with a freelancer to develop a restaurant system for ordering.
The "system" is consisting of two different APK's. Menu APK and Admin APK.
[Work flow of system]
A guest enters our restaurant and is handed a menu and a Samsung/Huawei 10.1" tablet. On that tablet we have preinstalled the MENU APK.
The guest can now browse our menu on the tablet and make orders that are being sent to the "Admin APK".
In our kitchen and bar we have tablets where our staff can view incoming orders and process them easily.
The guest can easily order more and/or pay their bill in the tablet.
I have attached two videos below that shows how the system kind of works in real life.
1. We have an "overload" issue that we can't figure out. When we have a lot of guests and a lot of orders at the same time the system halts/slows down and eventually crashes/not responding.
It seems like the system puts a lot of pressure on the hardware when there is a lot of orders. We are using tablets from Samsung and huawei, and they all have quad core processors and 1,5gb-2gb of ram.
Maybe the DB gets "locked" up in someway?
I have the source code on hand for the developer I choose.
I'm attaching a document with a link to Dropbox and three videos.
Two videos show the workflow of the "system" so you can better understand how we are using the APK's.
The third video shows you the problem we have with halting/slow system.
