We are seeking experienced, results-driven, and passionate engineers to join our infrastructure project team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and has excellent communication skills. Our collaborative environment relies heavily on innovation, technical savvy, and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time remote position within the US. As our newest Google Cloud Spanner Architect Engineer, you’ll be a major contributor to the company’s success. You’ll work with teams across the organization to build and maintain monitor-able, performant, reliable and highly-scalable software systems. Your technical contributions will help protect dozens of brands, facilitate continuous delivery, support our SLA for high-traffic websites and mobile applications in the credit score and reporting industry.

The Google Cloud Spanner Architect Engineer will be involved in the design of big data solutions that leverage open source and cloud-based solutions within the company's programs and initiatives to develop innovative big data solutions. This person will work with multiple teams across the organization and focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms. The Google Cloud Spanner Architect should be an expert in data warehousing solutions and should be able to work with the latest (NoSQL) database technologies across AWS and Google cloud (or similar).

Responsibilities

Strong expertise in implementing and architecting scalable GCP solution

Provide expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including Spanner, GKE, Dataflow, etc.

Ensure best practices and patterns are being implemented for cloud solutions

Provide technical direction to team members to develop, test and implement the solution as per the design and within the specified timelines

Lead internal communication with stakeholders, and ensure delivery of the project per commitment

Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate findings and use cases

Implementing cost-control strategies

Create & Review Technical Documentation

Discover and Analyze the drivers motivating a client to move to the Cloud and present findings and observations

Discover the current state of the client infrastructure and applications and present findings and observations related to readiness

Develop and present end state Cloud Architectures based on the current state discovery.

Develop and present detail Roadmaps and plans to transition to the defined end state Cloud architecture

Work with the client to develop the Cloud TCO / ROI analysis / and Funding requirements

Assist in the development of internal communication plans to enable adoption

Assist in the development of required organizational processes and structure for Cloud adoption and management

Evaluate on-boarding cloud operations tools

Offer the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence
