**Novocomedy in brief**

We are a TV distribution company, meaning we acquire and sell television programs to television networks and Video On Demand platforms (such as Netflix, for instance).

We also are a TV production company, meaning we produce new television programs, mostly compilations of short programs : home video, pranks, magic & circus, sport fails.

**Absolute pre-requisites :**

- An excellent internet connection & bandwidth

- Some local temporary storage capacity on your computer (at least 100 GB)

- A powerful computer (HD & 4K video exports to manage)

- English fluency (French is a plus)

- Organization freak (love to have things in the right place, with the right name so you can find it in a heartbeat — “If you can’t find it, you don’t have it !”)

- Adobe Premiere proficiency (other software such as Pro Tools & After Effects is of course a plus)

**If you are :**

- Very familiar with the concept (and importance) of metadata associated with video and audio files

- Not afraid to discover and self-train (with help) on our Media Asset Management system : Iconik ([login to view URL])

- Totally happy with doing routine work and processes related to our assets, namely, for instance :

- Importing new assets, naming, categorizing and filing them in a consistent manner

- Exporting, transcoding, delivering (FTP) assets to clients / partners

**Job to be done :**

- NOT editing but working with editors

- Responsible for all our assets, their categorization, location, associated metadata and related files (Adobe projects, .scc or .srt files, thumbnails etc...), database qualification

- Delivering assets to clients and partners in the required format (sometimes requires transcoding first) when required by sales department

- Downloading and uploading new assets (from editing team and from new acquisitions), verifying file integrity, compliance to defined norms, reporting about what was delivered and what is potentially missing, liaise with partner / editing team

- Be the “glue” in the editing processes i.e. making sure the various team members have what they need, when they need it at their disposal to do their work : for this, you need to perfectly understand the whole production process from footage to a final “ready to broadcast” asset, on a technical standpoint.

**Possibilities of evolution**

- If, on top of the above listed qualities that require precision, discipline and a taste for routine, you can also show creative talent, we will seriously consider making you an editor so you can start producing content from our pool of clips.

- If, on top of the above, you can prove exceptional skills to 1) put content together with a clear vision of what the end result must be and 2) manage a team of editors, you can also be head of creative and brief about / approve / reject content produced by other editors and manage them as well as graphic designer (logos, thumbnail and posters creation) and animator (jingles, opening and closing sequences)

**Contract type :**

- Freelance job, billing every month prorate of time spent

- 100% remote

- Part-time to full time, depending on the period and activity
