I need revision notes on the following topics from my Finance in MENA module. 1. Understanding the role of the financial sector and understanding MENA What is the ‘standard model’ of the role of the financial sector? To what extent does finance in MENA differ from the standard model? 2. The leading financial role of states in MENA How does the dominant role of states in MENA countries affect the role that finance has in relation to business? 3. The changing face of banking in MENA The roles of national and foreign banks in MENA. The rise of Dubai as an international financial centre for banking. The growth and character of Islamic banking in some MENA countries. 4. Project finance for MENA The sources and uses of project finance in MENA’s energy and infrastructure investment. The role of Islamic finance instruments in project finance. 5. Exchange rates and external capital flows How are financial conditions in MENA countries related to their exchange rate policies and external balance of payments? What are the reasons for MENA countries to have developed sovereign wealth funds and what outcomes have been experienced? I can email the relevant readings for each topic where the notes can be made from, this should form the basis alongside any other further research. The notes need be selective but informative enough. They can be presented in the form of essay type answers. (Relevant essay questions can be seen in the sample test paper also will be attached.) The tutorial questions for each topic can also show the sort of information I need for revision. The notes should be SELECTIVE so not just reiterating the same thing but making an appropriate answer, referenced where needed with Author's last name and year but not just copying also slightly original in approach as well as well structured. I would say about 700/800 words on each...
