I need a simple website built. I'll of course provide the copy/text for the site and the basic navigation. You can use the logo, designs and images from the products--but you may also need to do a little bit of design work as well and or get some more stock photos that are ideal for your site design. The site will consist of roughly 5-8 static pages and then an e-commerce page. It's a website to sell a book and eventually also a dvd that I've made, so if you can incorporate some simple e-commerce components like paypal and or google checkout and or some other credit card acceptance and shipping calculator into it, that's ideal. The other aspect is that the site needs to be super-super-professional looking. It shouldn't be in Flash I think, but it should use some javascript animation as is found in mootools or jquery libraries to look neat and to be an effective marketing tool. You should thus have experience building really slick, simple marketing-driven websites and have the ability to put in a simple e-commerce component with a shipping calculator. If we can work a bit in steps, that would be good--if you do some mock-up designs then I can review and tweak them, then once we settle on a design, you can finish the site/actually code it and figure out the animation, etc. something like that that works in stages so I know what's getting done and can make sure it's what I had in mind. Overall, a pretty straightforward and simple job.
