This website is to buy an operating system upgrade for your computer.
The Site will first prompt user to run a scan of their computer (probably using Java), it will scan your PC for details like hardware on the PC, operating system details, ram you have, etc. It will determine if you are eligible for upgrade to a new OS.
Then user will go through a checkout process and make a reservation (because we have limited manpower) where they will ship their computer to our computer repair shop and we will install their new OS then ship it back to them. We perform this service on site then ship it back to them. They can choose upgrades like extra ram, solid state hard drive, etc.
So I'm sure you have seen when you go to download a new browser like Firefox, then the mozilla site automatically knows if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit machine, how much ram you have, etc.. We need this utility.
it needs to scan the computer for that data, see if they are eligible for an upgrade, then attach it to the user's profile and keep that attached to their order when they checkout. This will save us from having to talk to them to find out what hardware they have and if their machine can handle the new OS or not.
