Python/Django Dashboard Framework

I have many data sources for many clients, and I am looking to build a portal where they can log in and securely access their data and see/make visualizations of their data on a dashboard.

My top priotities are:

1) that the site and its data be secure each clilent's data be inaccessible to other cilents

2) the project should follow all best practices for development so that I have a system I can maintain on my own. I am referring to developing on git/subversion, working mainly with the testing/sandbox enviroment before pushing changes live, etc

2) any tools to visualizing and charting data must be easy to use, while still providing in depth analysis through drill downs

3) I would like the platform to integrate with a public facing front end website where I can publish studies, articles, blogs, etc using the same tools

4) Project must be turned around quickly and be well documented upon completion

Fortunately, there are a few tools out there that are close to what I need and could work with a little tweaking. I would be interested to hear about any experiences you have had setting up either CKAN/DKAN, [login to view URL], or one of the Python apps like Graphos (maybe integrated with DJango CMS), or even [login to view URL] for Plone.I am paricularly interested in setting up Django and their data models or the CKAN JSON api. I really just need some help getting one of these up and running then we can use them to build out the dashboards ourselves. Our databases are already in place too and we will mostly be working with data in Postgresql right now (but API connections would be great too).
