company website - repost

I started creating a web site in edge animate. It didn't take long before I realized that functionality that I needed was missing. For a web pro, this could be an easy one. I am trying to build my site, a portfolio site, to showcase my work. I would like the "areas" to transition smoothly from one page to the next so that it seems like one page even though I need different sections. The typical, "home", "portfolio", "about me", and "contact". I have 2 example of other companies with web sites that I would like to emulate. I don't want to use flash since almost all of my potential clients are using iPads and iPhones. I have the initial page working and it even does an okay job going to the 3 movies linked on page one, but I know a pro could do a much better job. I would like to have the ability to easily update it (replace portfolio items). I am comfortable reading and modifying code, but can't do much beyond the basics from scratch. Although I would love to have my site up and running in less than one week, I would be happy to have part of it working and fill the rest in over the coming weeks if necessary.
