I attached a screen of how the current 'search' feature works on Mac Os X. I need to find or have you make a sample project that creates the same effect and I need to watch you do it via Skype or [login to view URL] screenshare so that I can learn what I did wrong. You will need to teach me as you make it work.
Notes:
- I am a programmer working on a large project in Objective-C & Cocoa. I'm very experienced in Objective-C.
- I understand how to make view-based NSTables and have them working in my program, but not sure how to implement it in this case because I am getting lots of unexpected bugs or I don't understand the correct way to go about it.
Task:
- Work with me on Skype or [login to view URL] screenshare to demonstrate how to create a window exactly like the attached screenshot.
It must have the following features:
1.) When controls resize show me how to use Autolayout to expand the size of the controls so that they reach a maximum and minimum size without autolayout throwing errors. I can't seem to get this to work correctly on my program.
2.) Make Plus & Minus Buttons using NSAddTemplate & NSRemoveTemplate (Assuming this is correct way to do it). I got this working, but for some reason the button images do not show for the first row in the table? Weird errors like this I will need help understanding why.
3.) In Mac, when you change the field in the PopUpMenu it changes the rest of the view on the row, show me the best way to do this.
Extra Bonus Help: (Will give you bonus money for:...)
4.) The table below the search criteria, I need the columns to change to reflect the options selected in the popup menu's, as well as the ability to always have at least '3 default columns', for example like Name, Kind, Last Opened, but if the user chose other options like 'Created Date', it would then appear as a column that could then be sorted upon later etc. Mac search does not do this currently to my knowledge.
Need help as soon as possible. Thanks!
