The system we are planning will eventually provide connectivity into the homes of multi-dwelling apartment and office buildings, allowing access to varied services.
To get to this stage we have a very clear 11 stage plan that gradually builds the system.
In its final image, the system lives primarily in the cloud and will include VoIP, smart phone app, touchscreen interfaces, bar code scanning, proximity readers, interfacing with several well established control systems.
The first stage will require a touchscreen kiosk system to be built that allows users to make a request for service. They enter their name, office number, contact detail, and then the request. The information is received and viewed by us through a back end system. The user may also choose to login from their computer do the same. It also must interface with a 3rd party key management system (one example: [login to view URL]). That is it! (note: interfacing with key management systems is very easy and done many times before. In fact, the makers will do whatever they can to help)
As each stage in the plan moves forward we will add more fields to the database (or indeed additional databases), and we may also add software functionality or interface with more hardware.
Each part of the final system has been developed to an extent by other companies, but not put together in the way we envision. This means that there is plenty of examples existing in the market place that will allow us to demonstrate the sort of thing we are looking at creating. Also, the interfacing with established systems and the use of barcode scanners and so on has already been achieved. We just need to put it all together to make our system operate better.
The end user will want this product to be very slick, and feel nice to look at and operate. So along with software development skills, graphic design skills (or at least access to a very cool library) will also be highly beneficial.
The system is very simple, especially in the first few stages, and we are therefore prepared to talk to young ambitious developers who want to get involved in something from the beginning and develop their skill set as they go.
A remuneration system can be negotiated; however due to the need to ensure the system is developed well (requires little support), and that we desire a developer to stick with us through the stages of development, we would like to look at company shares as the main remuneration. We believe that when you see the full plan, that you will agree this is very attractive.
If you don't think you can do the first stage with your eyes closed, you might not be ready for this.
Please let me know if you are interested in looking at what we are offering and believe you have the skills to create the system.
I am very interested in working with you on this project. I personally think that home control and automation systems will have larger market in a few years.
