We are using actions script 3.0 code to lunch a new browser window containing a "child" mini-game as a pop up. The pop-up should be located at a specific position, without allowing the user to change its size or maximize/ minimize (but he can close it)
the pop up link is to a flash AS2 movie in the format of ...[login to view URL] (not html / php page).
This is something we bought as SWF and can't modify directly.
once a user finished playing the child AS2 game, it sends a message via local Connection to the AS3 file (embedded in an html page).
at this point the AS3 code should close the AS2 browser pop-up window.
this should work in all browsers in all latest versions.
the INCORRECT code currently used (not working in IE9):
open window:
***************
var link:String = "javascript:mewind=[login to view URL]('";
link +="[login to view URL]";
link += "','mewind','location=no,width=600,height=500,left=0,top=0,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=No,status=No,resizable=0,fullscreen=No'); ";
link += "[login to view URL]();";
navigateToURL(new URLRequest(link), "_self");
*****************
close window
*****************
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("javascript: top.opener=self; [login to view URL]('about:blank', '_self', ''); [login to view URL](); void(0); "),"_self");
