Technology: We envisage the application to be built using the Microsoft's .NET platform, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server Express 2012 and deployed on a IIS on a server in your premises. This would allow the use of the software by more than 1 user. Rights to users can be controlled. Modules: We envisage this application to have the following modules: 1. Product catalog management: this would maintain the description, code and unit rate of the goods 2. Customer management: this would maintain the name of Customer, address, telephone number and Contact Person of the customer 3. Billing module: a. Customer would be entered from the customer management module b. Customer order and date would be entered manually c. Invoice number would be generated automatically from a pre-defined template d. Items to be billed would be entered from the product catalog e. Taxes would be entered froma pre-defined configuration f. Shipping charges would be entered manually g. Totals would be calculated automatically, and converted also to words automatically h. Sales Tax and other statutory information necessary on a Invoice would be derived froma configuration file i. A status such as Created, Signed, Sent would be maintained j. Print the invoice from the web browser. 4. Reports: This would allow the user to see the invoices created by date range and/or customer 5. Hi, I already have an automated billing system that works OFFLINE. It is written in VB6.0 and very simple to use and compile. If allows the search and access of customers tracks outstanding invoices etc and warns you of overdue payment. Reporting is built in though needs a little work to bring it up to scratch.
