Simple operating system

For a client we require an operating system written in C++, coming with a boot loader, a shell independent from the kernel with some basic features as well as a C++ compiler. We understand that you will have many questions about this project, however, we only have very limited information ourselves, so we will have to forward most of your questions to our client, which might take a few hours.
