This project is for someone who has strong c/c# knowledge, and able to migrate code from one base to another.
Problem: The built in WebBrowser component is slow, and inferior to WebKit as it is based on IE.
Solution: After digging around, I found an opensource project titled [login to view URL], however it will not work properly in Visual Studio 2012. There was another project based on Mozilla which is even more dated and is not .NET which is unsuitable for my needs.
Expectations are as follows:
1. Install Mono for Windows (current release)
2. Download [login to view URL]
3. Import [login to view URL] into Visual Studio 2012
4. Correct any issues with types, objects, etc. Ensure processes run in background threads. Create WinForms component and make functionality and events available.
5. Build [login to view URL] as the new WinForms component.
6. Test the component in a Visual Studio 2012 VB.NET Winforms application.
I expect a copy of corrected sources upon completion that will compile on my machine which I can verify. Once verified that it can compile, and the component functions as normal, funds will be released.
[login to view URL] depends upon the Mono library and I believe (not sure) CEF itself. It includes solution files for Visual Studio C# 2010, and Visual Studio C# 2005 and is strongly/managed typed. I have tried converting the code to VB.NET, however there are too many problems to resolve as C# allows for certain coding methods that VB.NET does not allow.
