Collection Management Software
$750-1500 USD
Paid on delivery
This project will be for database design, software architecture structuring, and creation of a Ruby on Rails application. The application will be for users to upload all the items in their collection online. Each item in the collection will have photos, a title, current market value, price paid for the item, model number, etc. The items can be organized into categories via a tree structure. The programmer will have to have experience in developing complex tree view structures with nodes. The software allows a user to create their own account and manage their collections within their account. Advanced data analysis will be necessary to see the total collection value, appreciation over time, and other useful data compilation. The programmer does not have to have experience in CCS or extensive HTML. All of the front-end styling (including JQuery and Javascript) will be done in a different project. This project is just for the database design and rough structuring of the software (CRUD design).
Basic requirements / experience needed:
1. Ruby on Rails proficient
2. Design of tree structure view / nodes
3. Creation of user accounts / privacy settings / subscription to services (make yearly payments for service)
4. Relational database design / structuring
5. Data manipulation / graphing display (simple graph over time)
6. Photo uploads and simple processing
7. Payment processing (PayPal)
More detailed information can be provided if you are interested in this project or if you need more details. We ourselves are Ruby on Rails programmers, but are looking for someone to devote part-time to this project. The entire software has been planned in advance and we just need someone to code it out.
