Hi, I'm a U.S. / French citizen (don't be fooled by the french flag on my profile), English is my mother tongue, but I have been living and successfully working in France in the language field for over 15 years. I have edited and proofread novels where the writing often presented challenges (as it would appear yours does from an editing point of view) from improper grammar or syntax to spelling and punctuation mistakes, going through inconsistencies in the story line or with the characters. Hey, hugs from Canada! You are too funny! I would love to have a go at this. I am a creative wordsmith - best way to describe it. The boring side :) of me teaches two business courses for a major Canadian college - writing. Yes, I know - how dry is that, business writing. So that has the grammar and sentence structure nailed down. But I also teach marketing courses - I make words sing - is that too cliche? Spent my childhood - 4 years, growing up in Germany, so reading, reading, reading is what I did. Comic to Nancy Drew to Steinbeck. Eclectic. Retired management consulting who just wants to work from my heritage farm house sitting on a lake, backed by a gorgeous forest. Why would I want to be anywhere else! I think my ideas about language are flexible enough that I will be able to distinguish your "new words" from typos. But I'm assuming there will be an opportunity to interact with you to ask questions like, "Did you mean for that word to look like that?"

This sounds fun. I'm best for this job, because I understand the rules perfectly, and thus know how to break them; at the very least I am comfortable breaking them. You'll notice I have 100% on my English Language test. I'll take others to prove my steez. I have read a lot of YA fiction (I often work with teens, *sigh*), and know more than I care to admit about teen/'tween culture. Also, you can look at my personal blog, RelationshipRefinerydotcom, to gain a better understanding of my default style and awareness. I am quick on my feet, and can adapt to a new style by reading just a small bit of your writing. I am a stay-at-home mom at the moment, with a child who sleeps long hours and a husband in law school working long hours. So I can do this in a shorter time than most, I assure you. Since this is one of my first bids, I realize you are taking a chance on me. I am bidding low for this reason, but I am confident you will not be disappointed!

I love reading books which take a while to make sense of, I personally feel they are the best. I have had a lot of experience reading classics, modern epics, gothic literature, romanticism, and various others.
