In other words, connect a device to the com 1 port and display the transmitted data in a display box. Allow for adding alternative information, such as a name, a company name, the name of the user, etc. Timeline October 12, 2007 - Development awarded. October 25, 2007 - XML Interface to be completed, without the serial binary data signals display. November 5, 2007 - XML Interface to be completed, with the serial binary data signals display. November 6-17, 2007 - Tweaking RS-232 Reader Application XML Interface Minimum application requirements; 1. A client name text box, 2. A company name text box, 3. A user name text box, 4. Displaying the date and time of serial transmitted data. 5. Displaying the serial transmitted data. (Shouldn’t be able to change it.) 6. A print command button. 7. A save command button. 8. That’s it! The application should preferable be written in XML. Glossary RS-232 Is a standard for serial binary data signals connecting between a DTE and a DCE. It is commonly used in computer serial ports. A similar ITU-T standard is V.24.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
