Combine various ready-made WordPress themes/plugins/widgets to build a website for a photo art exhibition

General To create an interactive, 'responsive' website using Wordpress to showcase a photo art exhibition. The site shall be interlinked with various secondary and supporting pages/resources internal to the website (and externally, e.g. Facebook) that support the narrative of a photo exhibition. To create this website the contractor will: 1) identify appropriate ready-made Wordpress templates/themes/widgets/plug-ins, etc 2) ensure the seamless integration of these elements with each other (writing any necessary code), and 3) ensure their integrity/operability on the client's web host. If there are several options, the contractor is to explain their relative advantages/disadvantages to the client and to work with the client to decide on specific elements. The contractor is expected to provide a final product that will become a template with a replicable architecture and to work with the client to apply this to create the working website. The successful contractor is expected to apply his/her technical expertise/understanding to work closely with the client to iteratively provide technical suggestions/solutions by which to achieve the terms of reference (TOR) provided by the client. The successful contractor is expected to have a general sense of the aesthetic and applied design, to integrate this with the technical and, based on this, make recommendations to the client. The successful contractor is expected to communicate effectively (timely, clearly, responsively) with the client in a combination of technical and layperson's language. The contractor will explain any and all technical language. The successful contractor will provide a customizable stand-alone, integrated architecture (assembled from various elements) so that it can be used as a 'template' by the client. The successful contractor will demonstrate that he/she can provide this architecture such that the client can establish websites and can easily populate these with content (photographs, text, audio and video). This includes that the client can replicate the architecture, structure and elements without the assistance of the contractor and will be able to easily, and independent of the contractor, make layout changes to the architecture/template and edit content on the site including customization, adding/removing/linking pages. The contractor will work with the client to apply this replicable, stand-alone architecture to the creation of a working website. For this the contractor will integrate content (photographs, text, audio and video) provided by the client. This practical integration of content will ensure that the template/architecture provided by the contractor works properly and will provide the contractor opportunities to work with the client to put forward further technical and applied design options. How to Apply For the contractor to be considered he/she must: Demonstrate the following: provide examples of work for other clients (with live urls) that demonstrate a strong sense of the aesthetic, good, clean design, good interactivity (to social sites, etc as well as through a filtered public comment system) and logical layout (on and between pages). describe how much time was required to create these sites and summarize how he/she worked/communicated with the client indicate the cost to build these sites and how this figure was arrived at the capacity to communicate in clear language. Please do not use commercial, technical or other acronyms unless these are clearly explained (e.g. terms of reference (TOR)). If the contractor meets the 4 above conditions to the client's satisfaction the process will enter its second phase with the client providing prospective contractors with the url of the site to be rebuilt, the urls of the sites the client feels have desirable features to integrate, and a summary description of how the new site will differ from the present one.
