Automation of Access Database data rework

We need a program, script or Macro, etc...that will automate a process in MS Access that we need for several of our databases. The databases will all be the same type, (access) and will have the same field names. The problem is with one particular field, IFIELD1. We didn't realize until it was too late that all the data in this field needed to be unique, therefore we have several hundred of these databases that have duplicate values in this field. I need a way to search for duplicate values in this field and then append an incrementing Capital letter to the end of the duplicate values. For instance, if there were three identical entries such as, FA4002277, FA4002277, FA4002277, then it would need to change the second and third entry to FA4002277, FA4002277A, FA4002277B, etc.....

The number of duplicates per database might vary between zero duplicates and up to 20 or 30. Hopefully one or you Access/VB gurus can come up with a solution for us. I have attached a sample database to help you out.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
