Animated form with antialiased edges

**Goal**

The goal of the application is to display an animated form with antialiased edges and dropshadow on top of the desktop/screen.

**Information**

Using API calls you can create transparent windows in VB6 (SetWindowLong, SetLayeredWindowAttributes, UpdateLayeredWindows) with per-pixel alpha blending. This allows the developer to create nice looking user interfaces with forms that have antialiased edges and dropshadows. There are several tutorials on how to do this (look at references in the attached file). If you have some animation in such a form, such as playing an AVI-file, the window will be animated. There are several controls and tutorials available for playing AVIs in VB6, and there are tutorials on how to extract frames from an AVI and how to create an AVI from frames.

This application will combine several well known techniques to create a framework for animating layered forms using AVIs and per-pixel alpha blending.

**Important

**Please note that to bid on this project you must already have great experience with layered windows in VB6 and very good knowledge about the Windows API. BitBlt, DIBs, alpha-blending and AVI are keywords you should know everything about... :) If you really are the right person for this project you know that you can implement this rather easy using free components and source code.
