Our existing personal fitness iPhone app needs several changes.
Attached is a spec with details. In short, the required changes are:
- Changes in data handling: The app uses a local db and syncs with the server via web service. There have been significant changes to the server and web service, and the app needs to be modified to reflect these changes. This brings changes in the GUI, the db, and the ws communication and requires knowledge of SQL and RESTful web services.
- GUI changes (make layout tab-based, addition of a simple "About" screen and some other changes in the display, e.g., make 2 screens a flip screen, adding of a calendar with customized background colors for the days). See spec for details.
- Adding of a simple "stopwatch" feature.
- Code cleanup and other changes. Details see spec.
There will be code review. Only clean and coherent code will be accepted - remember, part of the project is cleaning up the existing code.
Please provide a bid and references. If you need more info please take the time and see if the spec contains an answer to your question. We will only choose a coder who can read requirements. If you have questions regarding the changes in data handling, a more descriptive document can be provided.
## Deliverables
Dear Bidders,
There have been questions on the details regarding the part "Changes in data handling", as well as requests to view the existing code.
I have attached the existing code for your review. As I have been told by several people that it might be easier to rewrite the app instead of fixing it, this is an option (the coder's choice). After installing the app, use login "user1" and pw "pass1" to login, then press the "Sync" button. Then you can navigate through the existing app.
Regarding the changes in data handling: Instead of changing some details in the local iPhone database, it would be the best to fully replace it with a clone of the web server's database. The structure of this database is attached as well as some additional info on how some features should look like and need to change.
Let me know if there are more questions. Please place a bid now if you haven't already.
Thanks,
Martin
