Need a Perl script that walks through a text file to count the number of certain matching and mismatching commands. The only twist is that one of the matches is a binary bit located inside a HEX value and the other is just in plain text. Here's what I need: 1) When "TLMSID= CIMODESL, HEX= xxxxxxx" is present, check the 11th binary bit in the HEX value 2) Depending on that binary value, check to see if the appropriate commands exist in the preceding lines (1 = CPAAON and CTXAON | 0 = CPABON and CTXBON) 3) Output result to a text file "[login to view URL]" The output should look similar to this: ======================================================= IU Mode Commands Check (from Backstop) Generated from file [login to view URL] ======================================================= IU Mode Select Commands: Total IU Mode select commands present: 17 Total mismatch commands present: 0 IU Mode select command check status: OK
