Add a fuction to a php script2

I need to add a reverse function into my script. Currently the script download data from a remote rets server and phrases it into a local db. What I need is for a function to qury my local db fields mlsarea,mlnum,mlsfeed,status and check if each mls # is in the arry that was download from remote sever if not that row would get deleted along with the images
