We have a project were we are positioning wifi devices within a WLAN. We need someone with good skills in realtime algorithm programming. We would prefer PHP since many other parts of the system is based on PHP. The data we collect from wifi sniffing is stored in mongoDB or mySQL. We're flexible and haven't decided yet. The project is isolated in that it's "just" a matter of applying triangulation algorithms on existing data and store back the calculated positions. However it's a complex task that required experience and knowledge in both programming and mathematics. We have implemented an algorithm that seems to work ok. But there's a few technical papers that describe better processes for it. We must also apply site surveys, calibrations, averaging, filtering etc to get a more accurate result. If you feel like you're up to the task and can do a good job, we're happy to hire you even in the long run. I'll share more details about the project as the hiring process goes forward.

Hello, I am a Computer Science graduate, so no worries on the math side of the project. Is my understanding so far that you have various data in a mySQL database(or mongoDB), and based on that you want to calculate the position of the wifi hot-spots. (Is it possible to let me know the database structure or what sort of data we would have.) Ideally we would need to have at least a few examples where the result provided by the current process is inaccurate and remove the cause of the inaccuracy.
