This is another in a series of small projects that I am submitting for bid at Rentacoder. I will explain exactly what I need but first let me give you some background.

BlogBridge is an open source Blog Reader application. You can see all the source code at [url removed, login to view] It will require a programmer who is good at Java to be able to do this project, but the project itself is not too difficult.

Basically there are a few classes in BlogBridge (ArticleContentHolder and RSSItemStyledDocument) which use HTMLParser (an Open Source Project you can see here: <[url removed, login to view]> to parse incoming HTML and convert it to a Java Styled Document. Today, all that is supported is text, and bold text. All other tags are ignored.

Here is the project:

1. Grab the source for BlogBridge and build and run it on your computer

2. Understand the architecture of ArticleContentHolder and RSSItemStyledDocument. You don't need to understand all of BlogBridge in depth, but I will be able to answer all questions you have.

3. Enhance BlogBridge to handle additional HTML formats, specifically: italics, &nbsp, and image, following the patterns that I implemented for the first few tags.

4. Test and document your code

I will have to accept and approve the code and I will check it into the SourceForge area.

## Deliverables

1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

2) Deliverables will be documented and tested Java source code. The code will consist probably of modifications of 2 or 3 Java source files that are part of BlogBridge.

3) I will do a code and design review and when it is accepted I will check it into the source tree

## Platform

You can assume Java 1.4.

All code should be pure Java -- Cross Platform
