We need to design and build a book recommendation website. We need web-design as well as web development. The model to follow for the site that we need is [url removed, login to view]
Note the following functionality that is included
1. Readers can subscribe to a newsletter that will mail book recommendations to them. Users provide details of what genres they are interested in, what languages they read, how much violence they are OK with etc. Once the subscription is confirmed, a newsletter is emailed to them every day that includes any approved submissions that fit the preferences. 2. A customized newsletter is mailed out every day, depending on the preferences of the subscribers. Therefore the process of creating the customized, individualized newsletter needs to be automated also – so we’ll need someone with experience with tools like mandrill (by MailChimp). We’ll probably need someone with experience in permission marketing services.
3. Authors (advertisers) will have an interface through which they can submit the books that they want to advertise. There are 6-7 fields to provide information about the books (which will be used to decide which book recommendation should go to which subscriber). However, it is important to note that not all book submissions will have all the info (e.g. some books may not be on sale)
4. Once submitted the books will also be included in a searchable database on the website for 10 days only.
