We are looking for an experienced creative developer to help us implement a creative community site. Without going into detail, here is a description of what we're making and of the kinds of technical experience we're looking for: It is a chat-based social site, featuring special, near-real-time chat-like exchanges of information. A standard socket-based server should be adequate. While this is not a gaming site, the technical demands are similar to a casual multiplayer gaming site. A closer analogue might be the implementation of an online, interactive whiteboard application. This client application will need to present a clear, easy-to-understand and fun interface, much like that of a game. We'd like a developer who has at least some experience with server-side issues. We think a standard socket-based server should be adequate and the client end of the site will run in Flash9. We are interested in developing a site with an open API and so are looking for a developer accustomed to thinking in well-oragnized, object-oriented ways. While graphic design and aesthetics will be crucial to the project, we think the technical demands are better aligned with a game developer, so we are expecting to add a layer of design and creative oversight as the underlying functionality of the site evolves but aesthetic and design would be a huge plus.
## Deliverables
1) Initial, limited prototypes of some of the basic site functions 2) Complete and fully-functional working Flash9 code 3) Server side code TBD
## Platform
Flash9
