Paid on delivery
This project involves playing either short video clips or .gifs depending on the student's choice. The student can either choose from a list of complete sentences or add their own information to a partial sentence. The video clips already exist in .asf format. If that is a problem, we can discuss converting to another format. Complete specs are in the attached document. I will only accept bids from those who have demonstrated successful Flash projects on RAC. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Friday Jan 27, 2006 12:17:56 PM: One of the ways that this will be distributed is on CD-ROM, so a database is not practical. I created the original version of this project (very different from this one) using a simple csv file with two colums (word and file) and search function. All of the video clips in one folder. I used a very simple median search. Basically, if the first word is "hello", the program goes directly to the 1/2 way point on the list and if the word is above that, goes 1/2 way back up and checks again, then goes 1/2 way down.etc. I think I had it stop after the 4th check, and then just search down until it found the word. That way we are looking through a miximum of 350 words as opposed to 1400 to find the right one. We could probably take that to maybe 6 steps. SOmeone suggested that an XML file might work. I don't know. Hope this helps. ## Platform Flash MX for developing, to be played on Flash Player 6 and newer. Will be distributed on CD-ROM (self-contained executable) and on the web.
