We have homeowner information in various Excel spreadsheets and worksheets.? We are moving to an automated system and need to convert the data out of Excel.? I am looking for a macro or some way to convert multiple Excel workbooks.? I've included one workbook for reference.
Each spreadsheet is for a single association.? Each worksheet within the spreadsheet represents a homeowner account.? For each account (worksheet tab) certain information needs to be extracted into a format that the new application can import.
I created a separate worskeet called ImportAccount and ImportTrans.? ImportAccount contains the listing of accounts to import.? There will be 1 row in this worksheet for every worksheet in the workbook.?
The ImportTrans worksheet is a bit more involved.? It needs to create a row for each specified date/charge listed.? So in the Barton tab, columns J-U (except the grey total columns) correspond to a transaction code.? The ImportTrans worksheet has separate sections for each transaction type.
So in effect, for each row with a date in column A, column B represents the Description and column J-U represents the appropriate transaction code.? I would like a single listing showing all transactions to be imported.? So a single row in the account worksheet can create multiple rows in the ImportTrans worksheet.
