Box Backup Web Control Panel This project is based around the open source product BoxBackup, which can be found @ [login to view URL] This product is a great client-server on-line backup utility. It is cross platform (BSD/Linux/Win32). On the server it can be difficult to manage it with the command line tools ??" especially for newcomer s to Unix. This project aims to provide a simple to use Web Interface to control the backup server. It must support the following: [login to view URL] RAID sets ??" which allow backing up to. [login to view URL] client accounts. [login to view URL] must also support working with openssl to manage the CA relevant for the accounts and server (add remove certificates etc as per setting up new box backup accounts). [login to view URL] slave servers. The Web server should run on the master, but slave server can be added, Boxbackup runs on master and slaves, CA managed through the master. I would recommend something like XML/RPC over HTTP(S), this way it can all can be written in PHP [login to view URL] links to the user to download the certificates and links to the download executable installers. It must be able to report on the following [login to view URL] usage, broken down into current/old/deleted files. [login to view URL] usage ??" based on allocated space in accounts and available to the system. [login to view URL] must be able to email a pretty email to the end user of the account: [login to view URL] a scheduled time updating the user about usage [login to view URL] an account becomes full, or less than 80% space left for current files email the user with information [login to view URL] admin scheduled with a report about the usage of all accounts The project should be written in PHP, with modular design and fully commented. The master server should maintain meta info such as real names/email address user credentials (for logging onto the server).
