I need help with an upgrade script to move my customers from one version of Apache Derby to our latest. I have several SQL DDL statements that alter the db schema and transform the data inplace. I support 5 DB formats and I'm having trouble with Derby and need help. In particular: I have several statements where I update tables with values from other queries. In SQL Server I can write statements like this: update a set [url removed, login to view] = [url removed, login to view] from A a, B b where a.x = b.y I can't find a similar approach for the derby scripts and need help finding the equivalent. I can create temp tables, perform multiple insert/update operations, whatever.

## Deliverables

1) Email me a conceptual/logic set of statements to get the same effect as the T-SQL in the project description. No working code required. Just teach me what I don't already know.

## Platform
