I need an implementation of the URL rewriting feature in Apache (mod_rewrite) with ASP.NET. I have researched the topic and found the following article as the basis of my request:
This is how I would like this to perform...
For each folder on my site that I specify (I would ignore most folders), I would like to rewrite the URL in one of the following ways:
1:
as
2:
as
3:
as
I want the visible (Address bar) URL to remain unaltered, just the functionality to come from the underlying page.
I would also like to discuss with you how to implement this for any extension (such as .html or .asp or .php) with my web host.
I need to know how to add folders that want later on so that I can easily add folder2 or folder2/subfolder etc.
I would also like to know if this would affect any pre-existing apps as I have a ASP.NET app running in a subfolder of the site and use ASP 3.0 for the rest of the site.
