Creating/Taking an Essay Test

I need a program where I can create/give an essay test about photographs to my students. This should be installed and run on the local hard drive only. It must have an administrator (teacher) and a user (student) mode. Also, there should be a help or information section which shows an example test template as well as links to websites as external resources. In the administrator mode, I want to be able to pick out a photo from an image database which contains 100 images and their corresponding descriptions/references, create 1 or 2 essay-type questions based on that photo, link the reference notes to it and/or add a teacher's feedback, and then save the test on the local hard drive with an option to print it out. The maximum number of photos on an essay test will be 10. In the user mode, the student enters their name, and opens the test file where each photo is presented with their corresponding essay questions and takes the test. After completing it, a summary results page is generated, which shows the teacher's feedback with their answers. At this point, the student has the option to revise their answers or continue. After the student revises their answers, another results page is generated showing their original answers alongside their revised answers as a comparison. Finally, the student saves the test to the local hard drive or diskette with an option to print it out. Later, I access the student's test file for grading/discussion. This is geared towards elementary school students and a user-friendly interface is a must. For examples of user interface, please take a look at the software from [login to view URL] like the Create A Quiz or [login to view URL] for ideas. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Important: The school has both PC and MAC computers so I need for this program to be accessible to both so my thinking is to view this program through a browser. However, this needs to run only from the local hard drive, no servers so strictly client side. All suggestions are welcomed to address this compatibility issue.
