Change Folder Permissions XP

I need to know how to change the folder permissions for a limited user with my VB program. In otherwords, my VB program creates text files in a couple sub-folders under its installed directory. It works fine for me. But as soon as I switch to a limited user on XP, it does not work because XP does not allow file creating or registry writing unless its in their own folder in My Documents I think. Is there a way to change permissions and allow a limited user to write to the program folder? I need to do this in VB 6.0.
