I need a project developed in Visual C++ 6 that, given a buffer containing raw PCM song's data (extracted from a normal WAV file), can perform the exact calculation of song's Beats per minute (BPM).
Obvioulsy the song loaded inside the buffer should contain regular beats so it should work for disco music, house music and similar types.
Mandatory conditions:
- the overall calculation time must not require more than 1 second (the faster, the better) on a 20 seconds file.
- the code must not allocate more memory than the one required to store PCM data
- the code must not make use of external DLLs or third party source code (open source, GPLed, etc.)
- final source code must contain comments, at least on the most difficult steps and, if possible, should make use of the Hungarian notation.
Attached to this bid request you will find a set of WAV samples that can be used as an initial comparison for the calculation.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional desktop application (able to open a WAV file and perform the BPM calculation) in executable form that will wrap the internal source code as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition for desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
