I have a document storage program that generates a routing sheet that has a bar code on it. I want to take the routing sheet that has the bar code on it and run it through a document scanner that reads the bar code and scans all of the included pages then names the file name the (bar code [login to view URL]) and places in an SMB share. I need to be able to edit how many characters are read in the bar code and placed as the the file name.PDF. I can't edit how my document program names the bar code so I need to edit how many characters are read by this new program I want built. My routing sheet program will generate a bar coded named (ABC-000123456). I need this program to ignore the ABC-000 and name the file name ([login to view URL]) then place the scanned documents in a SMB folder. I have included a sample bar code that was generated by my document management software. In the example, It generated a bar code of (DOC-000107684). I need this file to be named [login to view URL], then moved to an SMB share on my network.
