Online Education company seeks Very experienced programmer needed for Video Conferencing Client Server Software. Programmer will need to be comfortable working with another programmers existing code base. Programmer must have the highest levels of experience with C++, ATL (Active Template Library), Active X; Windows Media Encoder 7.1 + 9, Windows Media DRM tools, Linux and Windows development environments, and general web skills. Do not apply if you do not have experience with application development and work with Media Encoder. Position available immediately. Programmer will need to be comfortable picking up where the last programmer left off and working with his existing code base. Position available immediately as a contractor to evaluate the programmers ability and a working relationship. The test will include re-compiling the Video Conference software to utilize Encoder 9 (it was built around 7.1 and will require some API modifications with the interfaces because of changes between 7.1 and 9). Company seeks to utilize the Fast Start feature in Encoder 9 which requires adding a new Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 3(has been ordered) to cut down on the buffering time in the video. If all goes well project will lead to many other projects continuing to develop the Video Conference API. Estimates we have recieved indicate this project will take no more than 3-7 full days (including familiarization with existing code base) Specifically Company will seek to next add the Windows Media DRM solution to the video streams.
