I need a simple program to add tabination to VB.NET syntax. Essentially, any block of code ending in an END SOMETHING, the contents must be moved forward by 1 tab.
For example:
PUBLIC SUB ADD()
IF (true) THEN
Dim i As integer
i=i+i
END IF
END SUB
Should be changed to:
PUBLIC SUB ADD()
/tIF (true) THEN
/t/tDim i As integer
/t/ti=i+i
/tEND IF
END SUB
Note, your code should be generic enough to handle any block ending in an "END" token. Please don't key off of keywords like If, Sub, function, Try etc. Each nested block should be tabbed over by an increment of one tab, per nested block.
You program doesn't need to worry about the correctness of the VB code, it should just dumbly tab over what needs to be tabbed. Likely you can do this by finding location of "END TOKENS" extracting the token, finding the starting location and tabing the contents. However, feel free to implement as you like. I only care about the result! However, do be performance concious with your code.
Thanks! Attached is a test file that is complex enough to use as a basis.
