Scope of this project: - Simple main page such as MySpace for fast loading. - Registration point for none members. 2 types of registration, 1st industry personnel and 2nd general public. - Both being allowed to create custom profile pages similar to MySpace i.e. set background, add site features to their page, blog, add favorites of the site etc. We will give them the first 8 or 10 backgrounds to choose from and leave the site members the ability to upload and share their own versions of backgrounds. - Members will be allowed to upload video and audio files to a set length, lets say no longer than 4 minutes each. the file then needs to convert to .flv to play in a flash player and auto dump the original. - Members will be able to search by category, post comments and vote on both. - Members will be able to see other members profiles. Members will NOT be able to see industry personnel profiles. - When an industry person votes on someone work that has been posted all the regular member will see is a "special tag" letting them know they were seen or commented on by someone in the industry. - This site will also have a personals section for those that wish to date. When members fill out their profiles they can opt into or out of dating thus should be left alone to do their work without being pestered by others. No One under 18 can opt into the dating section. In the profile area while opting in the dating they will not know if they have been approved for this section until after they click submit. After they click submit, if the systems sees they are under age 18 they will get an email saying they did not meet the age requirement to opt in. Also after submit they have no ability to back track and change their age. - The main page of this site will show the top voted in all categories, music, video, writing, photography, art etc. - There will be a forum on the site with senior members moderating. - The main focus of this site is to give the average Joe who feels he or she or perhaps parents with a child that feel they a certain talent such as music, film, modeling, writing, art, photography etc., a place to display such talents and be voted on, commented on, collaborate with, or criticised by others. It will also give high-end talents a chance to be seen by industry personnel that could quite possibly give them their shot at fame. Please, you MUST have experience in developing a similar kind of system before, with references and strict timeframes.
